Rembrandt, a youthful dream - the Kremer Collection

George Kremer is one of the few people who were able to fulfil a dream of their youth – he owns a genuine Rembrandt. “Old man with Turban” is only one of highlights of the first-rate Kremer Collection, which the Wallraf is the very first museum to present. The special feature of the exhibition is that old masters such as Gerrit Dou, Frans Hals, Pieter de Hooch, Isaak van Ostade or Michiel Sweerts are hung in a domestic interior created by Dutch star designers.

Description of the Museum

The museum is one of the big classical galleries in Germany. Focusses of the collection are the departments of the Middle Ages, the Baroque (among others Rubens and Rembrandt) and the 19. century.
