Description of the Museum

Welcome to the Landesmuseum Württemberg

The Landesmuseum Württemberg displays artefacts testifying to the history and culture of Württemberg from the Stone Age to the present. Highlights are the crown jewels of the kings and queens of Württemberg, the Russian gold service of Queen Katharina as well as one of the most distinguished glass collections worldwide. Besides the permanent collection, there are several special exhibitions.

Only a few steps away from the Landesmuseum you can visit the Fruchtkasten (Tithe Barn) with its collection of musical instruments. The Lapidarium in the New Castle displays Roman inscriptions.
