19 March 2007 – 1 June 2008 Love at first sight100 new acquisitions of the Würth collectionThe latest exhibition at the Museum Würth is situated in the forcefield of modern art. It features key acquisitions made over the past three years by collector and entrepreneur Reinhold Würth for his corporate collection. The selection, made by Werner Spies, distinguished art historian and critic, traces a very personal path through modern art history. From Claude Monet through Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Max Beckmann, Pablo Picasso, Max Ernst, René Magritte, and André Masson, down to Gerhard Richter, Georg Baselitz, and Anselm Kiefer, the list of outstanding works on display reflects the collector’s acumen and pleasure in discovering works that often enchanted him like love at first sight.
