The Speculative Archive / Julia Meltzer and David Thorne

After the presentation of the periodical project Die Planung / A Terv, the Video- and Periodical-Archive is providing an insight into the video-works of the artistic duo The Speculative Archive. It is under this name that Julia Meltzer and David Thorne, two artists living in Los Angeles, produce videos, photographs, installations and texts. Their projects focus on issues of state security, the utilization of historical and political documents, as well as social visions of the future.
