New Asian Waves. Thermocline of Art

With this exhibition Wonil Rhee, curator of the Shanghai and Seoul Biennales, presents the most recent positions of Asiatic art from 11 nations of the Middle and Far East, from Japan to Afghanistan. It offers an exciting insight into artistic positions beyond the »Europe-North America« axis, and at the same time pursues the question of the challenges posed by cultural practices in a globalized world.

Description of the Museum

The Museum for Contemporary Art (ZKM) shows works from private collections in Baden-Württemberg together with exhibits from the stocks of the ZKM collection, that give a insight in the evolution of art from 1960 until to today.
