Where the east ends

Where the east ends explores how the art and the cultural activities of young artists from Central Eastern and South Eastern Europe countries mirror and respond to the key socio-political changes of the past decade. Presenting issues of importance to the generation of the artists who grew up during the intensive period of changes in countries like Albania, Serbia, Belarus, Kosovo, Poland, Republic of Moldova, Croatia, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Russia: migration and mobility, urban transformation, reception of the passed idologies and the positioning of the artist in the international art world. The participation of the fifteen artists from the ten countries contribute to the widening of the international exchange of the until now predominantly anemic contacts.
