DAVID LAMELAS (ARG)

David Lamelas (Buenos Aires, born in 1946) made a name for himself as a pioneer of conceptual art. His work focuses on space, time, narrative strategies, and the stumbling blocks of our information society. His heterogeneous oeuvre ranges from structuralist films and media installations to minimalist light sculptures and architectural interventions. For the Neue Kunst Halle, Lamelas is preparing a new site-specific work that makes direct reference to history of the city. A number of older works as well as screenings will provide additional insight into this artist's oeuvre.
