MOZART. The Enlightenment: An Experiment, 17

A multidimensional space of thought on the occasion of the Mozart Year 2006 in Vienna. With Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart placed firmly at the heart of the exhibition, visitors will experience a visualisation of his period which was caught between the divergent influences of Rococo, Classicism and the nascent Romantic movement. Mozart’s life and work will be illustrated with valuable autographs, important works of art, and other exhibits of cultural and historical interest.

Description of the Museum

The Albertina accommodates one of the largest and most precious graphic art collections in the world. There are drawings and prints dating from all major epochs, ranging from late gothic to contemporanean art.
