ON THE BACK - Hidden Sign of the Object

This undoubtedly unusual exhibition
centres on the hidden aesthetics of the reverse side, which often reveals more about an object than its so-called “good side”. Manufacturing processes can be minutely traced on the reverse side; bottom stamps, seals and inscriptions give glimpses of the object’s origin, but may also be misleading … Collectors, art dealers and museums “leave their mark” on the reverse side, granting detailed insights into the history of an object.
